What is the Spring Festival?

The Spring Festival is a week-long special event that encourages participation from schools and the community. The focus of this Festival is to promote the Maple Sugar Industry and allows the participants to access a sugarbush and develop a better understanding of the science and mechanics of this unique process. Held in early Spring (usually the last week in March). The Spring Festival focuses on the sugar maple industry in Nova Scotia. School and community groups are invited to participate. Highlights include:

  • a visit to an active sugar maple camp
  • information and activities based on the maple trees of Nova Scotia
