Abstract
Data consists of a series of database tables that contain information
about the various mineral occurrences present in the province of Nova
Scotia and is used in conjunction with the Mineral Occurrence Query
Program (DP 001a). The information contained in these database tables
include: alteration type, sample analyses, mineral commodities, coordinates,
element type, mineral type, mineralization mode, mapsheet information,
qualifiers, element sampling, stratigraphic units, surveying type, and unit
types.

The DATA is provided to the USER on an "as is" basis, without warranties
of any kind, express or implied. The entire risk as to the quality and accuracy
of the DATA is with the USER and the USER shall use his/her own judgment in
making use of the DATA or drawing conclusions based upon it. DNR shall not be
liable to the USER, his/her clients, servants, agents, contractors, assigns,
or to any other person for any loss or damage of any kind including personal
injury or death arising from the use of the DATA or accompanying written materials,
or from errors, deficiencies or faults therein, whether such damage is caused
by negligence or otherwise. If errors or omissions are found in the DATA, the
USER will notify DNR. The terms and conditions of the license accompany the
downloaded digital product.

Downloading and Installation Instructions for the Mineral Occurrence Database
To download and install the Mineral Occurrence Database in conjunction with
the Mineral Occurrence Query Program:

Make sure the Mineral Occurrence Query Program is already installed.
If you have not done this, you may Go To The Mineral Occurrence Query Program
Download Page Now.
- Download the dp001b_modb9.exe program
to the c:\metallic\dbf subdirectory.
- Using Windows Explorer, go to c:\metallic\dbf
and double click or RUN the
dp001b_modb9.exe program. This will extract
all the database files required by the program.

IF
- This is the first time the Mineral Occurrence data files have been
installed, you will be prompted that the
readme.txt
file already exists. Type
"Y"
to Overwrite this file.
IF
- You have previously installed the data files on your computer (e. g.
you are updating an earlier version of the data files), the program will
prompt you to Overwrite DBF files. Type
"A"
to overwrite
all
old data files with new data files.
