Public Sector Unpaid Leave Regulations made under Section 22 of the
Public Sector Unpaid Leave Act

O.I.C. 93-971 (December 21, 1993), N.S. Reg. 185/931 These regulations may be cited as the Public Sector Unpaid Leave Regulations.
2 In these regulations
(a) "Act" means the Public Sector Unpaid Leave Act.
3 In subsection (3) of Section 7 of the Act
"the same proportion as the reduction in compensation pursuant to subsection (1)" means:
$1 - 100 reduction in compensation = 1 day leave $101 - 200 reduction in compensation = 2 days leave $201 - 300 reduction in compensation = 3 days leave $301 - 400 reduction in compensation = 4 days leave $401 and above reduction in compensation = 5 days leave 4 In subsection (4) of Section 11
"ceases to be employed" does not include a lay-off.
5 In subsection (1) of Section 15
"remuneration" does not include allowances for expenses incurred in the performance of the employee's duties.
6 In subsection (1) of Section 19
"total payments for insured services" does not include amounts for the purpose of providing benefits under the Medical Society of Nova Scotia Membership Benefit Programs.
