Community Consultations on Establishing a Lasting Form of Recognition

In spring 2011, the Office of African Nova Scotian Affairs held a series of consultation sessions around the province. We asked for your ideas on how to establish a lasting form of recognition for African Nova Scotians. Thank you to the many people who took the time to share their suggestions with us, either in person or via email.

We'd like to share that feedback with you now. Click the link below to read a five-page summary report compiling the suggestions we received, as well as the issues you told us we will have to consider as we move forward.

Thanks also to those who provided further feedback through our follow-up questionnaire. From here, the Office will work with community partners to hone those suggestions and move forward on a concrete plan of action.
